About Luke Bernier Art

My name is Luke. I’m an 18-year-old high school student with a passion for art that started when I was just a kid. Ever since I could hold a pencil, I’ve loved creating. My favorite mediums are pen and ink, pencil, and charcoal; I enjoy the detail, contrast, and expression I can bring out using just black and white. Whether it’s sketching from real life or imagining something new, drawing helps me focus and express what I’m thinking or feeling. I also like experimenting with new forms of art, including painting a mural at Compo Beach this past summer.

 

Other than art, I’m captain of my high school football team, and I also play lacrosse in the spring and compete in track & field over the winter. Being part of a team has taught me discipline, leadership, and how to push myself…all qualities I bring into my creative work as well. I’m always working to improve, both on the field and on the page.

 

I live in Westport, CT, with my parents, older brother, younger sister, and two dogs, Toby and Winnie (who are frequent subjects of my art!). Looking ahead, I want to use my creativity and artistic skills as part of my future career, possibly in fields like illustration, design, animation, or engineering, where I can combine creative thinking with technical problem-solving.
